These captivating designs feature indigenous South African birds and butterflies, many of which are endemic to the Western Cape where she lives.

Aeiden has a life-long obsession with with birds which culminated in working in bird rescue for a decade, caring for over 60 species in her own aviaries in that time. 

She has contributed new observations to the Tracker Manual (2nd Ed 2024) regarding Colius species a is and is a member of the Botanical Art society of South Africa.

Her passion for fabrics started as a teen making her own clothes which led her to run her own couturier and factory, Arwen Garmentry in Johannesburg for 18 years, closing the doors in 2017 to concentrate on her first love - art.
