Sun Catcher - Hartlaub's Turaco

While in Zimbabwe I collected a number of shards of naturally shed Matumi bark. I didn't know what I was going to do with them at the time, but they were so beautiful I couldn't resist! 
Over the past few weeks since we have been back, I have bedecked them with tiny oil paintings of African Bird species - Some I saw in Zim, and some that I just love, and have hung them from gilded brass chain and crytals to create a small selection of unusual sun catchers! 
This one features a Hartlaub's Turaco
